Concrete Surface Preparation Solutions from Bone Dry

Proper concrete surface preparation is crucial for maximum sealer and coating effectiveness. Bone Dry offers premier concrete surface preparation solutions for optimal sealing and protection.

CMU is too porous to properly seal with only the Bone Dry sealers. Cinder blocks require a primer in addition to a sealer to properly seal the concrete. Our primer is designed to react with our sealers to create a permanent moisture barrier and seal.

Some new concrete is to polished to allow for penetration. Bone Dry Etch-a-Crete opens the pores of new concrete allowing for our sealers to absorb and create a strong barrier.

Older concrete with embedded rebar can be susceptible to corrosion. Before sealing the concrete protect the embedded rebar from corrosion with Bone Dry Corrosion Stop.

Oil and grease can be difficult to remove from existing slabs. Before sealing or coating the concrete, apply Bone Dry Degreaser to stained areas to remove any oils or grease.

Etch-A-Crete is a concrete surface preparation solution for etching hard-troweled concrete. It opens small pores, allowing penetrating sealers to work better. Etch-A-Crete removes contaminants like efflorescence, stains and built-up residues to improve absorption and pave the way for superior sealing.

Etch-A-Crete is a low VOC and ecologically friendly concrete etching solution that will improve absorption, and remove the following:

Efflorescence (white mineral deposits)
