Description
Corrosion Inhibiting Admixture
Carbonation, salts, and other chlorides over time break down the alkaline protections that naturally occur in concrete, which prevent steel rebar and other metals from corroding. Bone Dry CI is an amine-based corrosion-inhibiting admixture designed to protect embedded reinforced steel from corrosion due to environmental factors. Bone Dry CI is a dual-action inhibitor that provides anodic and cathodic protection for both ferrous and nonferrous metals. Bone Dry CI creates a layer of protection around embedded reinforced steel, preventing corrosion from initiating and extending the life of the structure.
Where to Use Bone Dry Corrosion Inhibitor (CI)
Bone Dry Corrosion Inhibitor (CI) is intended for use with steel-reinforced concrete structures, including but not limited to:
- Concrete near saltwater coastlines
- Parking garages
- Highways
- Concrete buildings
- Piers
- Bridges
- Pools
- Poles & columns
- Concrete barriers
How to Apply Corrosion Inhibitor (CI)
Add Bone Dry CI to fresh concrete at the batch plant or directly to the concrete ready-mix truck. When applied directly to the mix truck aggressively spin the batch 70 revolutions to achieve a proper mix. Do not add to dry cement.
