Untreated vs. treated: moisture vapor and flooring failure
Moisture vapor rises from grade through an untreated slab until it reaches the flooring adhesive — mold and mildew at the bond line, curling and debonding above. With Bone Dry Pro, a reacted zone seals the capillaries: vapor is stopped inside the slab and the flooring stays flat and bonded.

Most moisture mitigation happens at the worst possible time: after weeks of cure and dry-down, after RH testing, and — when the slab fails — after an expensive coating and a retest. Schedule: conventional route vs. the Bone Dry Pro route
The conventional route runs pour → cure and dry-down for weeks → RH testing → mitigation coat → retest → flooring — weeks lost. The Bone Dry Pro route is pour → spray the same day (it cures and seals in one pass) → flooring on schedule, with no RH gate and days saved on every pour. A note on ASTM C-309: C-309 covers liquid membrane-forming curing compounds. Bone Dry Pro penetrates the slab instead of forming a membrane, so the standard doesn’t apply to it — used standalone, it achieves the results a curing compound achieves. Where a specification requires C-309 by name, a dissipating curing compound can be applied after the Pro Sealer is applied.

Concrete micro-view: capillary pores sealed
In the concrete micro-view, open capillary pores are the vapor path. Bone Dry Pro penetrates, reacts with free lime, and seals those capillaries — with in-pore antimicrobial protection.
Concrete looks solid, but it’s laced with capillary pores — the highways moisture vapor rides to the surface. Bone Dry Pro penetrates deep into the slab and reacts with free lime and alkali to seal those capillaries permanently, becoming part of the concrete itself. The vapor path is closed from within, the surface profile is unchanged, and the antimicrobial package keeps the pores hostile to mold, mildew, and bacteria for the life of the floor.

Formulated for all cast-in-place concrete under floor coverings, on new and existing slabs:

Application steps
- Spray — as soon as the slab can be walked on.
- Cure + seal — functions as the curing compound.
- Floor — no RH testing gate.
Good to know: existing hard-troweled slabs should be opened up with Etch-A-Crete before application. Floor patching and leveling materials must be cementitious — gypsum-based underlayments like Gyp-Crete require Bone Dry Pro Gyp-Cap instead. Resinous systems (epoxy, urethane, polyaspartic) over Bone Dry Pro must be 100% solids over a CSP 3 profile.
